I think that everybody could say they were introduced to Live through MTV. It's not a bad thing since the band was pretty good at writing great songs that people liked. I dug Throwing Copper almost as much as the next guy but Secret Samadhi was a breath of coolness when I first heard it. I think it was one of those, 'I'm buying this album from Live because I liked their last one' albums; and it was more than I expected.
The production on the record is really tasty. The songs are some of the best that the band wrote. Hooky chorus' and great guitar riffs. I always liked Chad Gracy's drumming on this one. Tight and song-serving. This is an album I always look forward to hearing and I get excited whenever I choose to play it.
