The Beatles
Revolver
1966
Favorite tracks: She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, I'm Only Sleeping
Sleeper tracks: Love You To, Tomorrow Never Knows
I can confidently say that "She Said She Said" is one of my top 5 Beatles songs. I'd probably put it number 4.
I don't know when I was introduced to this album. The radio had a lot to do with it but I don't remember having this album in the record collection as a kid. During my teens, I ignored the Beatles because they weren't 'technical enough' in their musicianship. I liked them but didn't sit around and listen to the records. It was stupid; and I started collecting the albums when I moved to Minneapolis. There came a shift in my better judgement and I have come to appreciate them more. They wrote really great songs and Revolver is an easy listen.
(I listened to the mono version because that's the way it was meant to be heard. Sorry George Martin, I have come to hate the stereo mixes of the albums).
