Some album concepts by Townshend are great. Some aren't that great.
"Give Blood" and "Face The Face" got major airplay when this record came out. "Give Blood" has some really good drumming by Simon Philips. Other than a couple shining moments, I was never a fan of this record. Some of the songs are really, really dated and the whole concept is kind of cheesy.
