I spent a lot of years hating this record for not being as groovy as Vs. I was really let down when I first listened to it. Hell, even the case didn't fit into my CD rack properly.
Over the last 20 years, I've mellowed and have learned to appreciate the record. I feel it's one of the band's better releases. There are some great songs on the album and while stripped down, the production serves the record really well. "Corduroy" is one of my top 3 Pearl Jam songs.
I was a Dave Abbruzzese fan and did not like how he was handcuffed on this record. That was back then. Now, I've grown to like his playing on this album more than his way too busy shit he re-recorded for the Ten radio songs.
