It takes a whole bunch of balls to have your first major label record be a double album. Hats off to them for that.
I was introduced to Chicago by radio. I do remember my dad informing me that they used to be called Chicago Transit Authority. Other than that, I didn't have any of their records until the late 90s. I knew that Terry Kath was a great guitar player and wanted to hear more of the obscure songs.
The debut has a bunch of great stuff on it. The only reason I don't like 'Free Form Guitar' is that the other songs on the records are so much better. It's an improv noise piece and it just doesn't fit.
Lastly, I was this album cover as a throwback t shirt.
