A fantastic sounding record. Nevermind the comedy aspect of it, the album sounds like a great rock record.
I would like to thank my Music Tech friend Justin for introducing me to this band. I remember having a class next door at Oarfin Records (before I worked there). He popped the CD in and we were cranking it on the big speakers (I really miss those SOTAs). Our teacher Scott didn't seem to thrilled with the stuff but I was eager to find a copy.
I remember going to the Target in downtown Minneapolis after school to get the album. I was able to snag a copy about 4 days before they pulled the CD due to the baby on the back cover, lying in a pentagram.
Dave Grohl does a great job with the drums. The recording sounds really nice...really thick and punchy. I played the hell out of this record but the later D releases never got as much play. Maybe I grew up.
