I have 3 Santana albums. This one, Supernatural (who doesn't have that?) and Abraxas. I will listen to Abraxas 10 times more than this one.
I got this album based on Dennis Chambers drumming on it. I was thrilled to go see Santana at the Excel a couple years ago and finding out Dennis was drumming for him for that show. I was eager to get this record because I thought that Dennis would kill it on a rhythmic, vocal-less record. I was disappointed when it was a stripped down version of his drumming.
The songs are good but nothing I would want to listen to frequently. I would suggest giving it a listen at least once. There are some tasty guitar solos during some songs.
