Sleeper tracks: I Am Waiting
I know 2 people who owned this album; my friend Mike and me. Refer to my 90125 album entry about not understanding why I don't have more friends who liked Yes.
'The Calling' is one of my favorite Yes songs. The drums are huge...almost gaudy and comical. Their boomy to a point where we say 'Ok! We get it! You win the biggest bass drum sound on record!'.
There was some good songwriting on the record. 'Walls' was co-written by Roger Hodgson of Supertramp fame and the opening verse is a dead giveaway to his signature style and then the hook is pure Yes sounding.
This is the last Yes album I owned. Listening to this record made me interested in hearing more of their later albums.
